Rocky Mountain AI is the legal entity behind the community: a Colorado 501(c)(3) governed by a volunteer board. We hold the finances, keep the records, and carry the fiduciary responsibility, so subgroup leaders can spend their time on programming instead of paperwork.

Sponsors and donors are what keep community programming running. RMAI raises and stewards those funds through corporate sponsorships across Platinum, Gold, and Silver tiers, individual giving, and foundation grants, with recognition matched to each partner’s level.

Our IRS determination letter, EIN confirmation, and W-9 are published on the Donor Documents page. The board receives quarterly revenue reporting, and we file the required annual return with the IRS. If you are considering a gift, you can verify us before you give.

Programming is run by the Rocky Mountain AI Interest Group and its subgroup leaders, each with their own community, their own meetups, and their own focus. The community owns its programming
RMAI funds and governs. Subgroup leaders decide what to run, who speaks, and how their groups operate. We don’t approve agendas or speak on their behalf.

Sponsorship supports, it doesn’t steer
Sponsors receive recognition and access matched to their tier. They do not get influence over what subgroups discuss or who is invited to speak.

Most of every dollar reaches the programming
We target 85 to 90 percent of expenses going directly to programming, against the Better Business Bureau’s 65 percent standard.

Every RMAIIG meetup is free to attend. Workshops sometimes carry a fee to cover instruction and scholarships are available for all of them.
